Hello Nick,
When you extract the meassurement data from the ISO Coated sb profile you
will probably get XYZ -values. After a conversion into L*a*b* there could
be a slight difference betwen the converted XYZ, and the original
L*a*b*-data, witch is nothing mysterious. It´s simply an averaging error.
Maybe this could be a possible answer to your question. On the other Hand,
all the data-sets You sent me allready have been proceeded to the FOGRA for
further investigation. There is no need to talk in any "mysterious" terms at
all. We soon will have a decent explanation, and I will post it to this
community as soon as possible.
Regards

Subject: [Eci] ISO Coated sb profile
Hello List
There is a major difference.
I have now compared ISOcoated sb data and FOGRA
15L in MeasureTool.
Here are my findings:
Delta E
Average
Overall 1.68
Best 90% 1.55
Worst 90% 2.90
Maximum
Overall 4.52
Best 90% 2.57
Worst 90% 4.52
FOGRA 15L data is used to create ISO coated sb.icc
profile.
You need to look at the Properties of the files.
Why has a file that was supposedly measured AUG
2002 got a creation date of: 19 March 2003
18:18:54
It is very mysterious.
Best regards
Nick
