Hi all,
I have downloaded the new ECI Offset profiles.
So my question is which type of rendering intent (Relative Colorimetric or Perceptual) is
most suitable with Iso Coated and Iso Webcoated profiles.
The best rendering intent is typically determined by image content. If you setup
Photoshop's proof setup with the ISO profile and then turn on the gamut warning
function you should be able to see which colours in your image are most likely to be
affected by the profile. If important image detail is out of gamut then perceptual intent
is probably best. If the out-of-gamut colours are not important (or there are none) then
colorimetric may be best. I have also found that the Saturation intent can give good
results as it's in-gamut rendering is often identical to perceptual and out-of-gamut
will opt for more saturation in an acceptable way.

Steve
