Thank you Claas Bickeboeller,
If the ICC was for Non-Periodical screening, then I would understand
it. Although having said that there must be some way for the
alogarithms for the non-periodiacal screens to predict the dot-gain
and thus compensate for it eliminating the need for a seperate
profile? Or is it the secondary and tertiary colours that have
different cie-lab values as the pignent is not overlapping in the
same way that an AM raster does?
That's it! And even halftone values of primaries differs visually (look
at magenta!).
Attached you find a comparison of primaries and secondaries (0 to 100%):
red = ISOcoated v2
green = Profile for non-periodic screening (will be published during the
next days).
Conclusion: Even if you use same TVIs, visual appearance of halftone
primary, secondary and tertiary colors will differ.

I had understood that the idea was to introduce a
profile for high
frequency AM as well, perhaps this was a linguistic missunderstanding?
I do want to support the standardisation work, and hope you do not
take offence at me asking for clarity.
Thankfully
