Miguel,
The G7 process would an ideal way to to set up your web presses with FM screening. A
profile can be created from an IT8 chart after printing within the G7 process. This
method is based on gray balance and tone shape. The color of the newspaper stock is
factored in by a formula applied to the tone curve. The primaries and secondaries of solid
ink would be standard newprint values.
The G7 method will be particularly helpful in managing the FM screening on newsprint.
The entire method is explained in the "How to" document available has a free
download from
www.gracol.org. Please review the pdf document for all tools needed to
complete the process successfully.

Subject: [ECI-EN] ISOnewspaper26v4 profile and stochastic screening
Hello all
I need some advice from the list's members, if you're pleased.
I work with a newspaper that is going to be printed on a web press, using
CTP with stochastic screening.
My question is: is the ISOnewspaper26v4 ICC profile adequate for stochastic
screens? If not, what would be the recommended profile?
Thank you very much.
Miguel Medalha
