Paper substrate might be the reason.
Also re-calibrate the printer and optimize the MX3 file

DeltaE 9 is quite high. Which media are you using? Did you compare your full
gamut to your iterated gamut in a 3D gamut viewer application to see whether
the full gamut does indeed enclose the 100%y 100Ym?
