Dear Jon, dear Thomas,
just a suggestion:
Anybody who is not happy with the settings for the Default ISO-Profiles
should and could create his or her own.
The reason for the 100% K was already explained by Florian Süßl.
Besides: If you follow the discussion, everybody has a slightly
different opinion, and not only for maxK.
This shows that there is nothing like a "Correct" separation setup, but
therer are a couple of valid ones.
Unfortunately, until Default Profiles were available, the separations
were sometimes done differently for every image. This led to
difficulties during the print run, when a slight change in one color
altered the grey balance only of some page components, while others
were unaffected (because they were for example sseparated with GCR and
a broad Grey).
Best regards,
Dieter

hello Jón,
the max black is not specified in ISO! My recommendation: the black on
98%. At 100% does not get sufficient Diffrence in the shade in black.
here there are many opinions!
Best regards

I have been looking at the new ECI ISO pressprofiles and I notice
that the Max Black goes as high as 100%Why is that?Is it not dangerous
to let the black go all the way up to 100% instead of forX 95%? Best
