Under the existing circumstances it
seems to be more safe and easier to work with device dependent data.
¡BINGO!
Hi everybody,
I've been reading this interesting conversation from the beginning, and it really
scares me as a printer to imagine that this is our future.
Because, "it is all about money in the world of honey" and our job is it to
match the customer proof as close as possible, full stop.
Everything that might lead to a deviation between the customers idea of his product and
our way how it comes out of our presses is automatically a big subject for discussion!
"And we are on the shorter end of the string"
I am sure you know that, this can lead directly to economical effects and consequences on
the printers side.
Please keep in mind that e.g. a 2 to 3% price reduction over the job value is always a
bigger amount for the printer than for the repro house.
So if it works, don't mess with it!! That is at least for now our strategy with this
color independent work flows.
And the way this conversation goes confirms me, that we are still very far away from a
stable running process.
Thanks for your attention
