Here is direct citation from ISO 12647-2:2004, page 6
"The primary colour solids of digital-proof prints should agree with Table 2
within one half of the deviation tolerance specified in Table 3."
If deviation tolerance is set to 5 for prints shouldn't this comment above
mean that for proofs it should be 2,5 for primaries?
We use (and resell, incidentally) << basICColor Control >> from
color-solutions, this is apparently becoming the standard tool for
checking proofs in many European countries, basICColor Control offers
the opportunity for two tolerance thresholds.
AFAIK the basICColor Control application was developed in close
co-operation with the people at FOGRA.
Besides an extensive pdf report for all patches in the datafile /
mediawedge, the user gets a short analysis pdf with red traffic light
for the high and yellow traffic light for the low threshold. She can
print a label too.
