In the traditional desktop publishing book, you document a single
software application.
Because ICC color management is a workflow technology, you will not get
beyond thinking about such a project unless you take a decision to
document specific products, complete with user interface settings and
the inevitable bugs upstream / downstream that affect workflow
strategies. Which is why the fora of the traditional prepress and
printing magazines failed in their early efforts to support this
technology while the on-line fora in the US succeeded. They don't care
about political correctness, they only care about utility. It's the
McDonald's and Levi's approach to mass education: If it wears and
tastes OK, who cares if it's politically correct -:).
