Right, currently ICC solutions don't work for and are not applied to
digital camera captures. These captures are managed by assigning a
reasonable RGB working space and making them look good in this space,
using the preview on the calibrated and characterized monitor.
But how many professional photographers base their business on digital
cameras? Split the message into a professional and a prosumer /
consumer dimension, and it works. Merge the message leaving only the
prosumer / consumer dimension, and it doesn't work. At least IMHO.
