Hi everybody,
as mentioned a few weeks ago we needed to do something about the non-
German speaking folks in Europe and elsewhere.
So I just enabled a new mailing list
[ECI-EN]
that hopefully will be as vivid as the [ECI] mailing list but in English
language.
Currently all those subscribed to [ECI-members] are also subscribed to
[ECI-EN] to make sure enough experts committed to the color management
cause are around.
In order send a message to the mailing list either reply to this mail (do
not forget to update the subject line!) or simply send an email to
eci-en(a)lists.transmedia.de
Just in case you didn't know - please never send HTML formatted email.
Plain text is the only viable option for mailing lists, as otherwise
among other things digests will be a pain in the neck.
If you feel you do not want to be subscribed to this mailing list anymore
(now or in the future) you can either unsubscribe yourself at the very
bottom of the page ("To change your subscription... <Edit Options>
button")

It is good to see that you have followed our request to start an ECI newsgroup in English
language.
Thank You!
As the first letter in ECI stands for "European " it is indeed a real necessity
that graphic arts colleagues from non-German speaking countries are involved in the
standardization activities of the "European Color Initiative" as well.
I really hope that the discussions in this newsgroup will be as lively as in the German
ECI newsgroup!
So, to all my colleagues dealing with ICC color isues:
� Make sure to register for this newsgroup if you are interested in ECI activities and
ICC based colour management issues, problems and solutions!
� See instructions below (from Olaf Druemmer) how to subscribe.

I have just set up a new *English language* mailing list
[ECI-EN]
that is open to everybody wishing to discuss ECI activities, ICC based
color management matters and related issues in English. Hopefully it will
be as vivid as its highly successful German language sibling, the [ECI]
mailing list (as of today: 639 members).
Currently all members of the ECI are also subscribed to the new mailing
list, so you can rest assured that quite a few experts are around from
day one who will be happy to share their experience and opinions.
In order to subscribe to the new [ECI-EN] mailing list, please go to
