Dear Sir/Madam,
I am interested in joining a
company for a six months internship.
I
am a student of Print and Media Technologies at the University of Wuppertal, Germany.
My university is one out of only three universities in
a good reputation within the German printing industry.
After two years of studying I will reach the first
stage of my 4 year education with the prediploma
(comparable to a Bachelor
degree) in March 2004. It encompasses basics and parts of specialized
knowledge for engineers of Print and Media
Technologies.
The curriculum for students
of Print and Media Technologies requires a 6 months internship at a
printing house or media
related company. As I am I am very interested in taking the opportunity to
gain knowledge abroad, I am interested in finding a
company outside of
experience.
I am currently taking classes
in the field of large format printing and wish to find a company,
specializing in this field.
By
large format printing I am referring to printers like Vutek, HP, Durst,
Mimaki, Mutoh or Scitex, which produce banners, vehicle wraps, signs or
printing on rigid substrates
for example.
Those printers are based on the piezo-,
drop on demand-, dye based- or thermal technology.
An English speaking country
would be a great opportunity, because English is my favourite
language and I am able to speak and write fluently. I would
really like to work for a company somewhere
in
My first priority is to find
a company offering me a six months practical work experience.
I am working for a screen printing
company once a week, which does some digital printing with a Mimaki JV3,
which has given me the experience of working in a printing
house.
My ideal timeframe would be
from April until September 2004.
