Hello Everyone!
I would like to take into consideration the aspect
of printed sheet drying effect.
In ISO standard for offset, there are aim values
for primary colors.
From my observations these values (hopeful) are
possible to achieve during printing.
However, to get these values it is nescessary to
print in general with higher ink amount on the paper (than "before"). Even then,
these already achieved values (ISO P1) are more or less no problem on wet sheet.
However, to be closer with aims on dry sheets, it is nescesarry to ad more
ink on the paper which causes problems with back transfer and so on... For
example black ink:
Wet: L=16 which is OK
Dry (the same): L=22 which is not OK.
If you additionally consider the fact, that
ISOcoated.icc has TIL=350%, then we have real problem.
But... I haven't found in ISO12647-2:2004 any
information whether theses aim values are proper for wet or dry
sheet.
What is you opinion about that?
best regards
